Face to Face in Classroom and in Workplacement in real life.
Duration
52 weeks (with the ability to complete sooner). Complete the program in 52 weeks or fast-track your learning for an earlier finish.

Course Description

The Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care is designed for individuals who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of people with disabilities. This nationally recognized qualification equips students with the skills and knowledge required to provide person-centered support, enhance independence, and promote well-being for individuals with varying care needs.
Throughout this course, students will develop a deep understanding of disability care, support strategies, and industry best practices. The program covers essential topics such as communication techniques, safety procedures, personal care assistance, and empowering individuals with disabilities to lead fulfilling lives. By learning these fundamental skills, students will be prepared to work in diverse settings, including aged care facilities, disability support services, and community care environments.

Minimum Age Requirement
Students must be at least 18 years old at the time of enrollment.
Education Level
A minimum of Year 10 completion or equivalent is recommended for entry into the course.
Language Proficiency
Applicants must demonstrate basic English proficiency to ensure effective communication in a support environment.
Work Placement Requirement
Students must complete a mandatory work placement (typically around 120 hours) in a registered disability or aged care facility.
Access to Technology
As part of the learning process, students need access to a computer, stable internet connection, and basic digital skills for online study and communication.
